This picture was taken with my digital camera. The tree is about 40 ft tall. This young bird gave me a show this morning. I had to stop my reading just to hear his words. His song of love was beautiful. He sat there for about 20 minutes just singing his song to a neighboring female cardinal. He even let me take about 5 different pictures each with him posing in another position. It was really cool. I love the signs of spring, smiles...
Today, I'm thankful for the beauty of winter's creation...I can see the buds on the trees starting to appear. I have a few bulbs of tulips, the jonquils, the daffodils and the hyacinths pushing their way through the soil to reap the rewards of the sun's light and I can see the cane of the rose bushes starting to turn green again giving life to the new buds that will give way to the branches for the stems of the new rosebuds to appear. The warn out, thick yellow-green reeds of the iris' and the brown cane of the day lilies are becoming wilted in the days sunshine, but in front of them, rises the new stalks to come. Without the covering of the Winter's snow, I don't think springs beauty would be so vibrant in it's show...As the earth warms with the sun's light, soon, very soon the magic of the season's color will return for a most glorious of show...And then, my yard will be in awe of the natural beauty that will surround it and give birth to the little creatures that take part in another year's afterglow...Spring, new beginnings in all walks of life~for all that is old and new...Thank you, Mother Nature...Thank you, Mother Earth, smiles...
"Seeing the results of your actions is not important, only the actions are. Like a recluse (Emily Dickinson), who wrote poems she never published and here they are touching peoples lives 100 years later...Your work is out there, you just got to have faith."~God, "Joan of Arcadia"
Thank y0u for the beautiful photos you posted in your album! I LOVE them, and when Savannah gets home, I am gonna show them to her... she will love them too! :) Love you... Pamela
If you force yourself in the name of service, you'll only do more harmful things in service. Like forcing the petals of the beautiful lotus open, you will create ugliness.
Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.
